What are the Master and Orphan categories?

ezimerchant Professional Version 4 introduces two new product list views into the 'Manage Products and Categories' section.

  1. A Master Product List
  2. An Orphan Product List
Master and Orphan product list views

 1. The Master Product List.

This list allows you to view your ENTIRE product list. Products from all categories, including the Orphan Product List will be displayed.

Viewing all your products in one big list may be useful for doing data entry entensive tasks such as price changes etc.

2. Orphan Product List.

This list will display only products that have not yet been assigned to a category. Orphan products will not be viewable on your web site.

Orphan products can be dragged into a category at any time or assigned to a category using the 'Add Category' button in the 'Categories' tab.

You can also remove a product from a category at any time by clicking on the 'Remove Product from Category' button.
