Troubleshooting Upload (publish) problems
Below is a common list of problems that can occur when publishing your website and some possible solutions.
Connection Problems
- ezimerchant Professional requires internet access before it can publish your web site. Many Internet Security programs (firewalls) block outbound internet connections. Please ensure your firewall is disabled and try publishing your site again.
Disk Space Problems
Most web servers will have restrictions on the amount of data you can upload to the server.
Example: Some web servers may have a 25 or 50 megabyte limit. You may find that during the uploading of your web site that you receive errors similar to the error messages below. If this is the case then you may have run out of room on the web server. You either need to increase the space available on the web server by contacting your web hosting provider or free up space by removing files from the server manually (via a 3rd Party FTP program) or by calling your web hosting provider and asking them to clean out your web server space.
Common Disk Space Errors
- Error during write to file Disk quota exceeded
- Disk quota exceeded
- Insufficient space to upload file
Satellite Internet or high latency connections
If you are connected to the internet via a satellite connection or other high latency connection and you get frequent disconnections when publishing your site try changing the Send Buffer to 8192 bytes. This can help with high latency connections.
To change this setting click on the 'Edit Site' button...

Click the 'Advanced' tab...

Change the send buffer and then click 'OK'...

Now try publishing your web site again.
